You should receive an email automatically from GWM, you can also call a dealership to check or click the below file and search for your VIN.
The issue surrounds the power steering wiring loom which can rub against the front right half shaft.
Below is the recall notice filed by GWM Australia,
In affected vehicles, the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) wiring harness may have been routed with insufficient clearance from the rotating right-hand front driveshaft.
The insufficient clearance can result in physical contact between the wiring harness and the driveshaft during vehicle operation.
Prolonged contact may lead to mechanical abrasion of the EPS wiring harness insulation, potentially causing electrical discontinuity or short-circuiting and in severe cases, this condition may result in the loss of electronic power steering assistance while driving and/or trigger an unintended engine shutdown.
In some vehicles, a warning may be displayed via the instrument panel.
If a loss of electronic power steering assistance or unintended engine shutdown occurs, it will increase the risk of an accident which could cause injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders and/or damage to property.
To prevent the possibility of this situation occurring, your GWM Dealer will inspect the electronic power steering wiring harness and where insufficient clearance is found, re-route or replace the wiring harness as appropriate.
